Clayton earned the right to hang on to the Johnston United Soccer Association Cup Thursday with a 1-0 victory over West Johnston in the semifinals of the tournament. The Comets' goal came on a penalty kick by senior defender Dustin Tart after the Wildcats were whistled for a hand ball in the penalty box with 5:58 to play.
Clayton will meet North Johnston in the JUSA Cup final at a date and time to be determined. We hope to get that match rescheduled today and will update things once we have a decision.
