By now, there's a canon for just about everything -- including rock history's greatest guitar smashes. Check it out, even if John Hiatt would not approve. I think my favorite is No. 7, "'Priceless' Kid."

Dude, how can you toss off even a two-sentence quickie about guitar-smashing without referring to the canonical "You Shouldn't Have Smashed Your Guitar" by Merge recording artists Bricks? (Even if you don't own a copy of A Microphone and a Box of Dirt, the track is also on 5 Rows of Teeth -- pull it out & re-listen!)
