Prayer request: Cy Rawls

Bookmark and Share

Whether you believe in the power of prayer or not, I hope you can find it in yourself to send a good vibe or two in the direction of young Mr. Cy Rawls -- longtime and much-beloved fixture of the local music scene, and one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. He's been in the hospital for the past week dealing with a brain tumor, and it's been an all-around scary situation. I'm told that surgery is set for noon Thursday; I'll be thinking about him around then, and I'd like you to do the same.

For details and updates, check here.

UPDATE: Word is that the surgery began shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. Keep those prayers and vibes coming, folks...

THE LATEST, as of 4:43 p.m. -- The surgery was cancelled shortly after it began. When the doctors got in there, they apparently found several lesions on Cy's neck that would jeopardize the surgery somehow. The doctors have decided to instead begin a very aggressive course of chemo and radiation. His parents are in with the doctors now. More as the situation develops.

Dear Pastor,
Please agree with me in prayer for J.GrantJr. to get a job, stop bumming off his dad,pay his own way, move out into his own place,JGrantSr. good health, stop being an enabler for everyone,AggieH to be able to graduate on time and her teacher Dr. Harold Trulear will sign the paperwork so that AggieH can graduate on time from school...for me Deborah to be able to formulate my business idea into action and all of my other business ideas. I am praying for direction and leadership and to find a decent and affordable house/apt to live in. The people who live at 28 Todd pl to move because every morning early the young lady blows her horn and they make so much noise disturbing the whole neighborhood...we had to call the police on these people over 30 times in the summer and then write the mayor before they stopped staying out alnight. Last please permit the cancer cells to dry up completely in Sarah Fordham and her sister Tee's body completely. Thank you and God Bless.
