Because I'm always running weeks (if not months -- or even years) behind on keeping up with new movies, I didn't catch Pixar's latest piece of magic "Wall-E" until this weekend. And I flat loved it, cranky anti-capitalist overtones and all. It's a heartbreakingly sweet love story; and, in a great little bonus, the movie's closing-credits number is Peter Gabriel's best song in recent memory.

At first, I was afriad it was Pixar's often music collaborator Randy Newman doing a Peter Gabriel imitation. But after a few seconds, it was the real deal. And a good, upbeat song too.
