Lil Wayne's Raleigh show canceled

Bookmark and Share

Well, Halloween in Raleigh just got a lot less interesting. Lil Wayne's Oct. 31 show at RBC Center has been canceled with the tersest of explanations:

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the RBC Center, the Lil Wayne concert scheduled for October 31, 2008 has ben canceled.

Refunds are available at point of purchase. I've got calls in to the venue and the promoter; if either calls back and has anything to say, I'll add it here.

I Bought Those Tickets For my boyfriend for his bday!! We were goin to be on the 6th row!! so we were both very disappointed when we heard it was cancelled!! if he keeps cancelling shows like that he's going to end up with NO FANS!!! and the fans he will have wont want to buy tickets bc they will think he will cancel it!!

omg...wdf...

omg...i was lookin forward to this...wdf...must of got arrested again or sumthin

Did anybody think that maybe

Did anybody think that maybe he just welcomed his 1st son into the world, and he's taking some time to be with him???

Crazy

You ignorant people are crazy if you think Raleigh wood benefits from a cancellation of a Lil Wayne Concert. He would fill that place up in no time but its not his fault that he has access to the finest supply of drugs on the planet and gets to F*cked up to preform to his ability. He can flow for 48 hours straight and make all of you look stupid when time is up. Come on this city needs some spotlight. Its not like we live in Charlotte where events as such occur on a weekly basis.

can you say lack of tickets

can you say lack of tickets sold.

lack of tickets? are you

lack of tickets? are you kidding?

the show sold out in an hour and a half.

i think it has somthing to do with the election

no

his concert was filled out at RBC, that wasnt the problem...he got arrested so he had to suspend his tour until things are straightened out

big deal

I see it as a good thing. He came to a festival I was at this year; he showed up 45 minutes late, his entourage got booed off the stage, he cut into other bands' stage time, and he put on a lame show. He basically hyped his songs the whole time, you could still hear the recorded voice track on the background music.

Hip hop as we once knew it is [nearly] dead.

He couldn't possibly fill

He couldn't possibly fill the RBC Center.

Really!

I am not suprised to hear that. The last time he did a concert in Raleigh, people threw water on him. I guess between rehab and making records with t-pain and a Million other artist, he doesn't have time for Raleighwood. O well glad I didn't buy tickets to see him. I would rather pay bills with the money I have than to see him.

Ohhhhhhhh, yeaahhh

Ohhhhhhhh, yeaahhh Ohhhhhhhh, yeaahhh Ohhhhhhhh, yeaahhh Ohhhhhhhh, yeaahhh Ohhhhhhhh, yeaahhh

wow

that sucks!

Too much purple drank
