Digital Conversion will stick to original date for two local stations

Congress has set June 12 2009 as the final date to convert to digital. However, two stations in the area will stick with the original date February 17 2009; those stations are CW22 and MYRDC. The change for both of the stations will go in effect at 11:59 pm on February 17. Stations that will be converting June 12 2009:

UNC TV
WRAL
ABC 11
NBC 17
ION
Fox 50

These stations will be holding off, because the Government ran out of money for the Converter Box coupons. They are hoping to solve this issue between now and June 12. For more information about the new date visit http://dtv.gov/.

Broadcasting in digital id definitely a step forward with a vast improvement in sound quality it means no more hissing or crackling as you would get with analogue.

What this does for rentals

I think the conversion to digital will help the rentals market. People who may not have the money to completely upgrade all of their TVs can just get an <a href="http://www.rentex.com/Audio-Visual-Rentals.asp">audio visual rental</a> for a major event such as the Super Bowl. This saves money while allowing you to have the latest equipment when you really need it

We will have to see. I must say, I am really not sure about using Provillus, since I heard with the Magic of Making Up, you get better results. And if you read any Provillus review, you will see that Bowtrol is also a great product. Any I saw on my new UN55B8000, that the Keurig B60 is now on sale. This is great news and it will help after I get Quickbooks Pro 2010. Oh, don't forget the Garmin 60CSx for traveling. I heard the UN46B6000 is a nice TV too. And DJs just love the awesome Numark NS7. The only thing that beats it is the UN55B7000. Anyways. Thanks keeping us informed. Looking forward to reading more soon.

And btw, I think this whole date change is a boondoggle. I want to see the actual numbers of people who will be positively impacted by this change.

Digital means that more people can listen to a channel with out the crackling interference you get with analogue, so its a better move by far. It does mean that listeners have to invest in digital equipment, but I think that's a small price to pay for a vastly improved service and reception coverage. Ford van leasing

Also nice for the government to fork out $40 to a $50+ retail price box that probably costs less than $5 to make overseas. The only ones benefiting from this deal are the box manufacturers who will see overblown sales to people who don't even need them.
