Wolfpack to be featured on ESPNU's 'All Access'

Bookmark and Share

ESPNU will feature N.C. State on its "All Access" show today at 6 p.m.

An ESPN camera crew followed around the Wolfpack for a day of practice leading up to Friday's season-opener against Tennessee, which will be shown on ESPNU.

Coach Tom O'Brien normally closes practice to the media but he decided the public-relations benefits of the show, outweighed any of the potential minuses.

"(ESPN) asked if we'd be receptive and I asked them what that entailed," O'Brien said. "As we talked about it, it worked out fine. I think the kids really enjoyed it."

O'Brien even got a plug in for the show after Wednesday's practice. Asked if the ESPN cameras captured the "Icy Commander" version of O'Brien's media persona, or the "Smiling Tom," the coach deadpanned:

"I have no idea. You'll have to watch tonight to find out."

Predictions

It would be nice if we all had a place to post our predictions for the season.  Maybe we can start something like that here in this thread?  Hope some others reply with their picks.  Also, is there a Pick 'em game on this site this year?  If anyone has a link it would be greatly appreciated.

State:  9-3 (6-2) *

Carolina:  7-5 (4-4)

Wake:  6-6 (4-4)

Duke:  4-8 (2-6)

* State will lose to either UT or @UConn.  State beats FSU in Raleigh, but then loses at Maryland two weeks later...TOB remains winless on the road against the Atlantic Division.

Pack Prediction

NC State goes 8-4 (5-3)--State loses to Tenn, FSU, UM, and Clemson. Goes back to the Champ Sports Bowl. TOB FINALLY wins an away game in the Atlantic division by beating UMd.

unc-ch(eat) goes 7-5. Larry Fedora falls out at a game a la Roy due to too much Red Bull.

Change* Didn't realize Duke has so many folks out either for the year or several weeks. Duke goes 2-10. However, I still believer Cutcliffe continues to have the best quips in his press conferences out of all of the ACC teams.

Cutliffe

To hear his quips means you actually have to listen to him and Dook after they lose. By all means, go right ahead.

Cutcliffe

I actually like him as a coach, just not necessarily who he coaches for.

Genius

Ohhh, gatr. You really are as dumb as you present yourself to be. You do realize Cutcliffe is on 99.9 every Wednesday. Did I say I listen to Duke games? Yet again another case of assuming that only makes an ass of lil ol' 'u'.

Hhhmmm

I reckon I'm no dumber than Max as he agreed wih me.

But, honestly, it was a joke. I can't imagine even you listen to Dook broadcasts. Use some common sense, Yar.

Although, as weird as it sounds, it feels good to know someone hates me as much as you do. It just confirms what were told as young kids from our parents and other people we look up to ... You can't make everyone happy and not everyone will like you, right or wrong.

Lol

True.  The only time I ever really see or hear him is at the triangle pigskin preview thing every year.  Hard to follow a team that has averaged 2 wins per season since 1994.

Got any predictions gatr?

Great comments

Lol I love this place.

Excited to see we are on all access.  Though, watching it tonight will probably just make Thursday go by even slower for me.  Looking  forward to a great season!  GO PACK!

Love it

Icy Commander - "I have no idea what is going on..."

Smiling Tom - "Mmmm hmmm, I do like me some BBQ"

Joe, joe, joe... smh

You are not allowed to write nice/positive/feel-good stories about Kow Kollidge, you're supposed to be investigating 1credit classes and figuring how graduate students can take online classes that don't meet. And don't forget that Rodney Purvis failed every class he ever took and graduated from high school in 3 WEEKS; where there's smoke... amirite???

(sorry, hard to keep a straight face writing all that gibberish that is being passed off as sleuthing by Tardheel fans)

Good to see

Obviously you think there must be some shred of truth or you wouldn't even bother posting it.
