Wake fans getting the Capitol treatment

Bookmark and Share

Wake Forest fans coming up to the nation's capital this weekend for the Demon Deacons' EagleBank Bowl matchup against Navy have a prominent alumnus helping with tourist arrangements.

U.S. Sen. Richard Burr, who played defensive back for Wake Forest in the 1970s, is arranging tours of the U.S. Capitol for fans. Barbara Barrett, The News & Observer's Washington correspondent, reports that more than 200 people have signed up so far for Thursday and Friday tours.

More information on Wake Forest's Capitol tours can be found here.

That sounds awesome...

Mr. Burr is doing a nice thing. I bet it will look festive at this time of year.
