Virginia Tech suspended sophomore forward Jeff Allen one game for making an obscene gesture towards the crowd at the end of the Hokies' loss at Maryland on Saturday.
Allen, who leads the Hokies in rebounding (8.8 per game) and ranks third in scoring (14.5), will miss Wednesday's game at Virginia.
Interesting, Maryland's Greivis Vasquez was caught gesturing to the Maryland crowd earlier in the season and went unpunished.
