don't care

I don't really care where they are ranked but it's nice to be ranked. I think a legitimate case can be made that they are head of the seven teams below them though.

Name recognition goes a long

Name recognition goes a long way in a public opinion poll. Butch Davis + UNC = #18.

Were it Joe Schmo coaching the BCS No Names, then they'd be ranked somewhere in the 22-25 range.

But really, is there a ton of difference between #18 and #22? Not really. Everything will come out in the wash at the end of the year.

not to mention that Notre

not to mention that Notre Dame and Uconn were not great teams. UNC is playing well but should not be 18. ridiculous

Ranked too high for now.

UNC has Lost to Va Tech, beaten 2 Division one teams with a winning record, almost lost to a Div-1AA team. They squeaked by a bad Notre Dame team. How in the the world are they ranked 18? Maybe 24 or 25.

If that is your logic look

If that is your logic look at Texas which has beaten only 1 div 1 team with a winning record Oklahoma...does that mean they shouldn't be #1 ??? Maybe they are ranked too high ...what about LSU they have only beaten 2 div 1 teams with winning records as well and got blasted by Florida a team ranked below them should they not be ranked where they are??? an argument can be made for most of the Top 25 teams that meet the same criteria mentioned...it is what it is...The whole rankings deal will work itself out by seasons end and the best teams will be where they should be in Bowl Games ...

ranked too high for now

i am a dyed crimson ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE football fan, and they are ranked second. look at their record to see why it is not unreasonable for CAROLINA to be ranked 18th. ROLL TIDE! and GO HEELS!

sincerely,
