Mon, 10/06/2008 - 07:08 — Anonymous (not verified)Aww guys, UNC gets in the top 25 and now everyone is crying... grow up! If your smart at all you'd realize rankings mean nothing. It's just a number that makes the team beside it look good. Last time i checked ECU was 14th or 15th? then lost to a horrific NC State team and Houston. So obviously rankings mean nothing.. But 4-1 does look good in the win loss column. UNC played like a top FBS team on saturday. 3 INT's (12 on the season " most in the nation"), 3 blocked punts (by the same guy who now has 4 on the season) over 100 yard rusher (Shaun Draughn) Cam Sexton wasnt spactacular but managed the game well. Defense held the nations leading rusher to a little over 160(which is avg around 185ypg) i think? And most of those were due to big runs in later stages of game when the outcome was already decided. Which is darn good considering how good he is. All around it was a good night for UNC and its nice to see UNC in the Top 25 agian! GO HEELS! GIVE BUTCH A RAISE! haha.
hey g!

Sun, 10/05/2008 - 21:59 — g (not verified)Wow, I guess I shouldn't be suprised. Do they deserve to be in the top 25? I don't think so, but the unc hype machine has done it again.

Sun, 10/05/2008 - 15:47 — gvillegatrUNC may be in the top 25, but it wasnt b/c of a sports writer here at the N&O. JPG left them out.
He's good for that.
Sun, 10/05/2008 - 15:59 — UNCAlumnusJPG is a Tar Heel sceptic. Fortunately, others get a vote. It will all come out in the wash, I'm sure.
I don't think this will be brought up in meetings.
Sun, 10/05/2008 - 15:00 — UNCAlumnusThe fact of the matter is UNC is getting the opportunity to play the Mighty Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Four Horsemen, Montana, The Rocket, Win it for the Gipper. All of that can be turned sideways and shoved down the Irish's throats. Just turn the preparation into execution. Player for player the Heels are just as good or better than the Irish. I'm thinking the Heels have a quiet confidence the will enable them to do just that.
