It looks like North Carolina's basketball program will have to make do with one Zeller brother.
WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, Ind., is reporting that Cody Zeller, right, the younger brother of Tar Heels junior forward Tyler Zeller, has decided to attend Indiana University next year. The 6-foot-10-inch senior from Washington, Ind., announced his decision this afternoon, selecting the Hoosiers over UNC and Butler.
Ranked 20th in the nation among high school seniors by Rivals.com, Cody Zeller averaged 20.5 points and 11.1 rebounds per game last season, leading his school to the Class 3A state title.

Hey coach. How is the recruiting going???
Thu, 11/11/2010 - 23:45 — mothra1960With all the mess UNC is in, I do not see top prospects going to UNC for any sports.
Sad.
They brought it onto themselves.

they better get a PG that can get them back into the NCAA tournament......and one that can get them into the SWEET 16......the latter player does not EXIST on this roster or in the recruiting cue.........
Question, Mamba
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 02:30 — Heels20Will this team make it to the dance?
Mamba is a bit socially
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 15:34 — unc098Mamba is a bit socially challenged. He doesn't like personal contact and will never comment in a way that might make him eat his tail.

Think if it were you...
Thu, 11/11/2010 - 21:13 — UNC1998and you're older brother had jilted all of Indiana to go to N. Carolina. I'm sure C. Zeller had pressure on him to choose Indiana. There may also be the inclination to get out of his older brothers' shadows. I hope the best for him, but fear the 15-15 comment may be true. While college basketball has parity like never before....it's at the expense of some traditional powers.
skyhook zeller!!
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 15:45 — bluecat69bluecat69i believe the sorry-holes were about 15-15 this past season, that why the younger zeller would not go to a team that had all of those mickie-d.s and could do no better than the nit.indiana is on the way up, the sorry -holes are going down the toilet. go DUKE-CHAMPS.

Bad sign?
Thu, 11/11/2010 - 17:53 — bradleyb123Could this be an indicator that maybe things aren't so good for Carolina athletics? Maybe the elder Zeller knows something the rest of us don't know yet... you know the basketball players use tutors, too. Just sayin'.......
You're not "just sayin'"
Thu, 11/11/2010 - 19:47 — gvillegatrYou're hoping. You're wishing. You're praying.
Cody Zeller
Thu, 11/11/2010 - 16:08 — Heels20I wish him the best, but I think he made the best decision both for himself and for UNC. Let's be honest, he's atrociously overrated. When younger recruits are gaining 5-star ratings because of the way they performed against Cody Zeller, it's not a good sign for him. 7-footers belong in the post, and little Z can't survive there. However, hopefully he'll prove me wrong and have a successful career at IU.
haha

Your Big Bro,
Tyler
Just wondering...
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 10:37 — Heels20Why does any State fan feel they have the right to run their mouths to a Carolina fan AT ALL when it comes to basketball? The red jacket is 1-8 against Roy. You haven't made it to the dance since the existence of the iPhone. You haven't beaten us since you thought Brandon Costner was a future NBA player. I'm just wondering, why do you refuse to respect your authoritor?
Easy answer
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 14:40 — gvillegatrLittle, baby brother will ALWAYS pick on big, superior brother when given any opportunity. The bitch of it is little brother will ALWAYS be little brother.
Heads up, Big Brother.
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 15:44 — JPDOhioBaby brother is lurking around the corner, getting ready to strike!
Cheech and Chong
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 23:34 — gvillegatrDo you remember "Up In Smoke" when Chong passes Cheech that massive hog leg while they are driving on the interstate? The CHiP pulls em over (they may have simply been in the "park" position when they got pulled).
Anyway, Cheech is high and mocking the CHiP by saying, "keep on knocking, but you can't come in!!"
That's how state feels when they attempt to get close to UNC! Keep on knockin' , brother, but you can't come in! ;o)
Right on
Sat, 11/13/2010 - 10:34 — JPDOhioLove the analogy. Except in our version, the CHiP is smoking too.
FEAR THE BLAZER!!!!
Sat, 11/13/2010 - 04:07 — Heels20FEAR THE BLAZER!!!!
I hope cody zeller enjoys
Thu, 11/11/2010 - 15:24 — golfer_68I hope cody zeller enjoys being 15 -15 every season!
yeah
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 01:41 — izzykareem20-17 is so much better
Let's do the math
Fri, 11/12/2010 - 10:15 — gvillegatr20-17 > 15-15
Yea, it is better.
