Tough title defense for UNC

Composite ACC schedule

Home: FIU, N.C. Central, Valpo, Gardner-Webb, Nevada, Michigan State, Presbyterian, Marshall, Rutgers, Albany

Road: Kentucky, Texas (Cowboys Stadium), College of Charleston

Neutral: Ohio State, Cal or Syracuse

Analysis: The defending national champions will be pushed by Michigan State, Texas, Ohio State and the second game in New York against either Syracuse, which is especially tough at MSG, or Cal.

The one game that jumps out, though, is Kentucky on Dec. 5. The Triangle gets a look at the One That Got Away in super guard John Wall.

Even if Kentucky is as good as everyone says, the Heels should be able to get into ACC play at 14-1 and no worse than 12-3.

ACC trips to Maryland, Boston College, Clemson and Georgia Tech will be a test for UNC's young backcourt but the conference is the Heels' for the taking.

Whoa

You now claim that that the ACC title is "the Heels for the taking". Your earlier posts predicted that Dook would finish on top. Is this another hedge or what?

Can't wait

That December 5th game can't come sooner. It will be a great indicator as to whether John Wall is a scorer, or a winner. I also believe it will play a big part in determining the future of CJ Leslie, and where he'll go. Go Heels!
