DURHAM — Duquesne put together a 14-0 run late in the game to take a little steam out of Duke's 95-72 victory but the Blue Devils played with a lot of energy and Lance Thomas scored a career-high 21 points while gaining its seventh victory of the season.
In the first half, Duquesne had trouble stopping a 6-8, 235 forward who works the offensive glass, hits 3s, and is passing well out of double-teams and high-low post sets.
Kyle Singler scored nine first half points with five rebounds and four assists and Lance Thomas dropped 12 to give the No. 7 Blue Devils a 52-32 halftime lead over the Dukes at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
