Tudor

Somebody take Tudor to Sports Clips to cut the white mange on the top of his head. Maybe while he's there he can get a sports education from the hairdressers since they watch ESPN all day...they're bound to have picked up something which could help him.

going to sound horrible

but don't you guys think the girls at Sports Clips ought to look a lot hotter and younger!?

and, no, I will not apologize if any of your loved ones work there!!  lol.

Oh lord

I foresee another Imus incident.  Haha, just messing around.  I've never been to Sports Clips.

Imus incident?

Don Imus can only dream about obtaining the notoriety and loyal following that the incomparable Gatr currently enjoys.

Lol

That's what I was thinking...Don who?

pay me!!

pay me the money Don Imus gets and I will buy advertising, with my face on it, claiming whatever you guys want!!  "show me the moneyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!"

Here's an idea.

Maybe someone can pass a hat around at Carter-Finley Saturday. I am sure all the die-hard Pack fans will be glad to contribute to the cause.

If that doesn't work, take collections at Sports Clips.

Predictions

UNC over UConn in a game that will be closer than expected, but also low scoring. I say UNC, 20-10.

ECU will finish stronger on the defensive side of the ball and show off a better performance than last week. ECU, 28-17.

NCSU will unfortunately lose to Murray State......nah, sorry I can't keep a straight face imagining the reaction I just got from State fans. The Pack will win this one, 38-10.

I'll probably be way off on these scores, as I expected a shootout in Raleigh last Thursday, and a low-scoring game for VT-Bama. We'll see how it turns out.

Thanks

Thanks JP, for being the only person at the N&O who ever give the pirates some love!! I think they'll win this weekend too, as well as next weekend against unc. Have a good time at the game, maybe Tudor will get wise on this trip and start believing in his alma mater.

Well, I watched a game with Pat White..

last year in the Car Care Bowl. I wasn't super impressed then, so now it's Noel Devine and who else? If ECU doesn't take care of business in a good way vs. WVU, they might be in for a surprise Sep 19 vs. a 2-0 UNC team. Boy oh Boy! here comes football season! Go Heels.

You weren't impressed as

You weren't impressed as Pat White led them from behind to win the game against y'all?

Perhaps you're confusing the terms "not impressed" with "not happy that we're letting Pat White steal this game from us."

Car Care Bowl

We beat ourselves in that game.  Busted play on a 4th down goal-line attempt, a costly fumble later in the game by Draughn.  Pat White played well, but we handed that game a way to a team that was not better than us.

my break down

UNC did look pretty good from what I saw on the BD Show.  they held the Shitadel to zero TD's and pounded it down their throats.  40-6 is a respectable score for a Div 1-AA game.

NCSU looked clueless on offense but I also think we (as in almost everyone) gave USC not enough credit on defense.  USC's offense looked terrible but maybe some of that was nc states defense looking better than we all thought as well?

ECU clearly shut the engines off on both sides of the ball.  I don't understand why that isn't geting a little pub??  was it premature?  absolutley.  you can't do that to an in-state school you deem worse than yourself b/c they are certainly not shutting their engines off.

Toots,

I watched a tad of the WVa/Liberty match-up and WVa doesn't look that great at all.  This team never had Liberty by the throat and had to give its all the entire game.  I hope you are saying ECU will lose to WVa just to get some bulletin board material down in Greenville.  +6.5 is a gift and a ML'ers dream at 2 to 1.  like JPG said, "Pat White less."

hmm...

i didn't see UNCCH play so i'm not sure how dominant they looked.  Did you have to call them Shitadel though?  Seems harsh.

I'm thinking though you guys will easily beat UConn, although there offense is gonna be alot different than the one you played last year.  I think it will take a quarter or two to adjust to the no huddle - spread.  So i'm thinking... 27-13 or something like that.

let me rethink that... your offensive line is gonna get a real test this week because UConn's D is stout.  You have already lost, i believe Cooper, who was the starter so you are even thinner.  This might be too close for comfort:  21-17 UNCCH.

the shitadel

comes from there basketball team from time past.  felt like crossing it over is all.

We lost Cooper?

That's news to me.  I haven't seen that anywhere yet.

cooper

he didn't practice on wednesday, and he was gonna "test it out" yesterday.  BD hasn't released the injury report yet (I thought they had to by now - 2 days before the game), so i was assuming he'd be out.

I read something late last

I read something late last night that said he's questionable.  I think another O-lineman is questionable as well.  Hopefully we'll have enough guys to get us through this game without too much trouble.

27-13 would be great, but

27-13 would be great, but it may be a little generous toward UNC's offense.  UConn returns 4 of their top 5 tacklers, and 7 starters from a defense that ranked 6th last year in yards given up per game.  They did lose a key player from the secondary and an outstanding D lineman, but I still expect them to show up.

I did hear somewhere that The Citadel's QB said Carolina's defense this year was as good as Florida's last year (they played @ Florida in 2008).  If there's any truth behind that, I can't wait to see how our D plays throughout the year.

I group comments like that

I group comments like that from the Citadel's QB with comments of coaches that come to Carter-Finley and say we have unmatched fan passion, game environment, and football facilities.  While it's nice to hear, I know it can't be the truth.  Not taking a shot, just saying that sometimes people talk their opponents up more than they actually are.

So true

That's actually a great analogy.  No offense taken.

"NCSU looked clueless on

everyone) gave USC not enough credit on defense.  USC's offense looked

Holy crap, did gville just give us a reasoned, logical take on State football?

I need to get right with the Lord post-haste, apparently.

your disdain

for the Great Gatr has misplaced quite a few logical and well put ncsu posts.

But, alas, it looks like the sky's are clearing down off Honeycutt Rd or there about ...
