Feeling guilty

I feel like I may have jinxed the Pack the past two weeks in various ways. No worries though, I've got everything figured out and ready to go for tomorrow...everything from my outfit, my pregame rituals, and the koozie I'll be using to hold my beer. All that coupled with the content of Giglio's podcast, which JPD already hit on, I'm looking for a Wolfpack win tomorrow...and perhaps a little bit of sweet revenge for TOB. GO PACK!

Whew!

I was starting to think I was the only one left on the bandwagon!

Don't give up, don't ever

Don't give up, don't ever give up!

No since of reality

Once again, a state fan is trying to justify the horrible play by saying they beat themselves without crediting the other team.

No "sense"?

Once again, an idiot fan (UNC I'll assume) trys to take a cheap shot only to have it backfire in his uneducated face.  Tell me, if you don't consider State your rival, then why waste so much time talking about them and their fans?

Besides, I guess Duke's punter deserves credit for both of those punt "return" attempts by State?  Get real.

Until…

Until they can tackle someone, the rest doesn't matter.

Expectations

State was expected to fail last year. This year was completely different. Last year's team could probably beat this one by two to three TDs.

This game on Saturday will be the most telling game about the testicular fortitude of the Wolfpack.

Saturday's fortitude test

We are in total agreement on that one.

Thanks, JP...

for that last statement in the podcast. I am now certain that the Pack will turn its season around and finish strong.

KEEP IN MIND THAT...

Several weeks ago, JP annoited the Tar Heels as the best football proram in this state.  That seemed odd at the time and is hilarious now!

JP is often wrong but never in doubt.

Reverse Mojo

JP is going for the reverse mojo effect.... it won't be what he thinks it is, because it wasn't what he thought it was.

Surely you jest

Why should JP or Pack fans anywhere feel any differently? That Podcast is one of the best, most spot on pieces of opinion to have ever been put up on the Sports page. You cannot sanely tell me after the past two weeks of no pass coverage and complete and utter lack of tackling that the Pack should be favored to win a game all year. I hope State runs the table. But there isn't any evidence to substantiate that hope to becoming a reality.

Dana Bible has taken State out of a couple games this year with his over saturation of the passing game. State refused to try and run the ball out of an I-Form or Strong set when they played South Carolina, and that cost them; same thing with Wake Forest. Toney Baker was an unstoppable force against Duke. Why not continue to pound the ball instead of heaving it and going 3 and out to only let the Devils bomb it downfield in secs?

I'm beginning to understand the complaints shared by a lot of BC fans about Dana Bible. He's slow to change. Got to adapt to situations because they won't adapt to you.

Get your *^&$ together, Pack coaches and players.

Yes, I jest.

I get a certain amount of enjoyment taking good-natured shots at JP when he makes statements like "State won't win another game all year". As bad as the last two weeks have been, I am pretty sure the Pack will pull out at least one more win this year.

Many seem to have forgotten that things looked even bleaker last year in late October and TOB and the Pack found a way to finish strong. Even with all of the problems that have been rightfully pointed out this year, the Pack was still in every game this year in the 4th quarter. Even the Duke game final score was misleading.

The offense has played well enough to win each game, except for the first one. The defense has struggled, but its problems are correctable. Whether that correction can happen soon enough to salvage this year, I don't know. But I do know that I am not ready to join the growing band of naysayers quite yet.
