Funny

It is easy to see why JPG is so, overwhelmingly confident in a State victory (should we say, giddy?), I mean they are favored by, what 2 or 3 points?

UNC should be an easy call, but, although some predicted the loss, I don't think many predicted such a poor performance last week.

UNC and UVa..

is the oldest rivalry in the south. I'd like to see it become more prominent. I for one will be there early and scream like heck. I think UNC has all the initiative it needs to come out blazing. The defense probably heard it all week. GT took that "Swagger Up" stuff and stuck it somewhere. They've got to earn it back. The offense just needs to prove it has a pulse. Get first downs and run the ball. Hold the ball and progress down the field. UVa hasn't shown a will to win down the stretch yet. Don't give them a reason to have hope.

I am worried

Whenever Tudor has a bad feeling and JP is confident, it can't be good for the Pack.

Actually, under different circumstances, I think Wake and Va could be dangerous. But it is not like either State or UNC have reason to be overconfident this weekend. I think UNC was embarrassed enough last weekend to come out smoking for this game at home. The Pack had enough struggles against Pitt that I doubt anyone was doing his Chuck Amato impression at practice this week.

For those reasons, I think UNC wins big and State wins by a TD.

Excellent point...

...on State not being overconfident.  They haven't won at Wake since 2001, and I'm sure that's been brought up in practice.  And as you said, it's not like the Pack took an easy win against Pitt.  They'll be ready to play on Saturday.

As far as UNC goes, I hope you're right.  The bad news is that last Saturday might have been TJ's worst game of his career.  The good news is that Saturday might have been TJ's worst game of his career.  We know that he is capable of throwing a football, and hopefully the offense will be able to bounce back after last weekend.  I expect the defense to keep UVA from putting double digits on the scoreboard, but who knows what could happen?

Regarding UNC

If they come out flat against UVa, you guys really should be worried. This is type of situation that exposes a team's true character.

gonna be a good weekend ...

around here. both teams come away with 7-14 pt victories. and all the spew will get even bigger.

I know better..

than to make too many predictions.....sooner or later we all look pretty dumb.

Tudor's predictions this year

To be honest, his picks have not been all that shocking. I picked UNC to beat UConn, ECU, and lose to GT. Also picked State to beat Pitt. Compared to JP though, who thought ECU was the real deal, Toots might seem like a genius right now. No offense to JP though, he's usually got valid points behind his picks.

I've got the same mindset as

I've got the same mindset as JP going into this weekend, but Toots does make some sense. The Wolfpack are going to have to match the intensity of Wake on Saturday...this is gonna be a desperate looking team, and if you want to talk about teams playing their "superbowl of the season", I think this could be that week for Wake. TOB needs to make sure his team is hungry coming into this one, but I'm thinking he will...and no, I'm not going to quote Julius Hodge.

As for the Heels game, I think it's a toss up right now. Almost the same scenario as Wake for both teams...UVA is obviously desperate, and as I've said before, this is about that time of the season where Al Groh silences his critics and rights the ship. On the other side though, UNC will probably be coming out with a lot of fire as they try to redeem themselves after getting knocked out of the polls. Should be a very interesting weekend around here.

Unless UVA wins out and

Unless UVA wins out and somehow makes it to the ACC championship game (god help the ACC if that happens), I have a feeling the Groh ship has already sailed.

I have a feeling UNC is going to take out last week's frustrations on the Cavs. NCSU should be fine as well.

great...

i wish you guys would maybe do this about 6-10 minutes and really decompose the teams you're discussing. It's too quick and what's a few extra minutes of Toots gonna hurt anyone?

I agree, and why not break

I agree, and why not break down mroe than just 2 games.  The Acc is more than just State and UNC, I'd like to know what you guys think about the other Acc teams from week to week.
