Seen a $10K watch?

CHAPEL HILL — This week, former Tar Heel sharpshooter Shammond Williams reported a $10,000 diamond-encrusted watch stolen from his home on Gardner Circle.

Williams plays professional basketball for Pamesa Valencia in Spain but maintains a home in Chapel Hill.

A police report says the watch was taken some time between early February and late May.

Chapel Hill Police Capt. Chris Blue said Williams reported the watch missing at the request of his insurance company.

Blue said he had had many renovation contractors in and out of his house during his absence.

“He’s gone for months at a time, so unfortunately it could be any number of people,”said Blue.
