Dave Hart's gone as Florida State's athletic director, but he deserves credit for something, Mike Bianchi of Orlando Sentinel writes.
You'll have to read it to find Hart's finer virtues because they escape me or any Seminole football fan.

Dave Hart and FSU

Actually, when Hart arrived at FSU from East Carolina in 1995, he pretty much kept a "hands-off" approach when it came to football and baseball, limiting his involvement with those 2 powerhouse programs to fundraising and facilties improvements. Hart did a commendable job improving FSU's nonrevenue sports into Top 25 fixtures, although men's basketball still hasn't found the right mix after 15 seasons of mostly poor-to-mediocre play. With 2 legendary coaches and a meddlesome university president throwing up roadblocks, Hart was unable to have much input into trying to fix the recent declines in the football and baseball programs prior to his ouster. I suspect that FSU's new AD (Randy Spetman) won't have any more luck than Hart in that regard....
