Florida State is still waiting for the police report detailing the on-campus fight that led to five players being suspended for the Semionoles' eventual loss to Boston College on Nov. 15.
If coach Bobby Bowden is still waiting when FSU (7-3, 4-3) plays at Maryland on Saturday, he said, "I'll play them. They served their punishment."
The school has been waiting for the report since the fight. No arrests have been made. After gathering his own information, Bowden suspended Taiwan Easterling, Corey Surrency, Bert Reed, Cameron Wade and Richard Goodman for their part in the Nov. 12 fight with members of the school's Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.

something is different with FSU
Wed, 11/19/2008 - 15:50 — mrbonnThis continues to amaze me. Football players caught cheating on exams. A few games suspended and then back on the team in full status. Does the academic group care? When I was at NCSU it would have been out the back door forever! Now football players caught for fighting and injuring a bystander. Out for one game –“ they have paid their penalty” !!! This is NOT the way to run a university. Oh, FSU football is not about a university, it’s all about Bobby Bowden, number of wins, and money for coaches and the school. The order is correct.
