Bookmark and Share

Seven ACC baseball players have been named to the 2009 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America team, including three first-team selections.

Right-handed pitcher Alex White (North Carolina), left-handed pitcher Chris Hernandez (Miami) and first baseman Dustin Ackley (UNC) were named to the first team, while shortstop Ryan Jackson (Miami) was a second-team selection.  Right-handed pitcher Adam Warren (UNC), third baseman Kyle Seager (UNC) and third baseman Stuart Tapley (Florida  State) were named to the third team.

Five ACC teams are ranked in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's preseason top-40 poll: UNC second, Florida State seventh, Georgia Tech 12th, Miami 18th and Clemson 26th. Virginia and NC State each received votes.

UNC1998

I've said it once, and i'll say it again.

If UNC wants to be good at something, anything, they have the resources and will be good at it. only a handful of schools can do this.

I read earlier UNC was #2....

That's impressive, considering what they lost from last year's team. I guess it's "reload" and not "rebuild" in CH now.
