Pick Six: Week 12
Even at 5-1 I can't win a week of the Pick Six. Week 11 guest Glenn Petty, of Today's ACC Headlines, matched my season-best 5-1 record.
Commenter extraordinaire Gville Gatr gets the honor of beating Team N&O in Week 12. I'd use his real name (Chris) but that would ruin the character.

Virginia Tech @ Miami

Line: Miami by 4.5
The Coastal can either get real crazy or the Hokies can put it away. It's Thursday, you've gotta like the Hokies.

UNC @ Maryland

Line: UNC by 3
It's Super Bowl time in College Park. A Miami win tonight would certainly change the motivational equation for the Heels.
As it is, Maryland controls its fate in the Atlantic. The Terps are 5-0 at home and Chris Turner is 5-0 against ranked teams, including two of those games at home this season.

Wake Forest @ N.C. State

Line: Wake by 3.5
The Deacs need two wins, and a Maryland loss, to take the Atlantic for the second time in three years.
It'll be a fight, with points on both sides, but the Deacs won't stumble again in 2008.

ECU @ Southern Miss

Line: Southern Miss by 3
ECU controls the East with three games left in the C-USA schedule. Given the personnel losses by the Pirates, due to injuries and arrests, that's impressive. Getting to Hattiesburg ain't no picnic. The stay won't be enjoyable either.

BYU @ Air Force

Definition of a trap game. Air Force is pretty good, at 8-2, and a tough home team. The Cougs are looking ahead to next week's Biggest Game Ever against Utah.
