Pack's Wilson released from hospital

Bookmark and Share

N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson was released from the hospital after the team left Columbia on Thursday night and was on his way back to Raleigh on Friday, according to his older brother Harrison.

Wilson had been hospitalized after suffering a Grade 3 concussion during the second quarter of the Wolfpack’s 34-0 loss to South Carolina.

He was released into the custody of his mother, Tammy Wilson.

Evans could have the best

Evans could have the best linemen in the world blocking for him and still not be able to deliver a pass with any velocity down field. If left with Evans as the starter our offense will remain the dink and dunk screen and 5 yard pass play offense of last year....hope to see Wilson back at least in time for ECU.

Penalties

Yeah our o-line wasn't great but one thing you have to remember is that south carolina's defense is dubbed one of the top defensive units in the SEC. with that being said Russ took some shots in the 1st half that could've easily been flagged by the Ron Cherry-led ACC officiating crew. Two instances stand out in my mind, a roughing the passer that a blind man couldve called and a late hit on a wilson slide. if two penalties were to be awarded then Russ has a lower probability of being hurt. granted his injury was a freak-accident that is a risk the players take every time they suit up; but if two players are penalized for unnecessary roughness, the hard-nosed USC defense has to worry about not picking up anymore penalties and therefore backing off some.

Exactly. No offensive line

Exactly. No offensive line success equalled no chance.

He was released into the

He was released into the custody of his mother?? You make it sound like he was arrested.

Quarterback

Evans just can't be a big-time quarterback.
Wilson is our best hope.

Evans

Brett Farve could not set up with the poor blocking.  The offensive line gave him no time.  No one can pass off his back foot the way he had to with no blocking.
