Mike Glennon, Jake Vermiglio, J.R. Sweezy and Markus Kuhn are all listed on N.C. State's two-deep depth chart for Saturday's game against Central Florida, but it may be wise not to read too much into it.
Glennon, the Pack's backup quarterback, suffered what was described as a bruised knee in the second half of the Pack's 48-7 win over Western Carolina in the season-opener. Vermiglio, Sweezy and Kuhn were suspended and did not dress for the game.
Asked today by the N&O if Glennon still being listed as the No. 2 quarterback was a good thing, Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien said the injury report was not due until Thursday. Asked by the N&O if the three suspended players would be available this week, O'Brien said that would be determined after this week's practices.
In April, Vermiglio, Kuhn and Sweezy were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of using a controlled substance. The charges later were dismissed after a judge ruled the police search was improper.
Vermiglio is listed as the starting left tackle on the depth chart. Kuhn and Sweezy are listed as the backups at defensive tackle.
O'Brien said he did not anticipate injured offensive tackle R.J. Mattes being able to play this week and said he hoped Mattes would be able to return to the lineup in two to three weeks.
On Glennon's status, O'Brien said, "I don't have to do an injury report this week until Thursday, if I have to do it at all this week. So we'll figure it out."

This is just TOB being coy. Which, for the record, I don't like.
C'mon...
Tue, 09/07/2010 - 21:42 — YAR8packYou don't like a lil Belichick inspired tomfoolery with your coach? Nah. Not a fan of that kind of stuff either. Though I do understand why coaches hide their rosters until one need be announced: keeps the opposing team unaware as to what opposing players await.
I would like to know what's up with Glennon. His leg injury didn't look good, at least the pixelated ESPN3 version of it didn't. Got a feeling no one will know until Glennon gets off the bus in Orlando.
