The UNC vs Cow College game
Tue, 11/09/2010 - 01:34 — GoHeels1984The UNC vs Cow College game is always televised at noon on raycom because of the regional influence that playing cow college gives to the viewer audience. Too bad UNC has to play them. Otherwise, it would be on national TV like all of its other games.
Shocker
Mon, 11/08/2010 - 20:45 — gvillegatrDoes anyone even remember the last time this game was not at 12pm and on tv at the same time?
I have to believe if state would have beaten Clemson, this would have had a better tv slot.
Agreed
Tue, 11/09/2010 - 10:01 — JPDOhioThe fact that State has stumbled each time it made it into the top 25 influenced the timing and tv exposure of this game. If the Pack had beaten Clemson, they probably would have risen higher in the rankings, making this a much more attractive game. Until State proves it can be a consistent winner, it won't get the benefit of the doubt in games like this.
I also think UNC's inconsistency is a factor here, although probably not the primary one. It's prime time exposure this year related more to its opponents (LSU, Fla State) than UNC itself. Plus, its rivalry with State is intense regionally, but nationally it is a non-event. Hence, the programming on the ACC Network as opposed to the primary national networks.
Its also interesting that
Mon, 11/08/2010 - 21:37 — chrismg1Its also interesting that the FSU vs Maryland game is in primetime. I guess the powers that be have given the wolfpack up for dead and feel the winner of the Atlantic division will be among those two.
The 2004 Infamous down on
Mon, 11/08/2010 - 21:17 — ericmac20The 2004 Infamous down on the one yard line game was I believe a 330 kick off. I was at the game and it ended up being night time at the end. Although the game wasn't broadcast on tv.
Aa you stated
Mon, 11/08/2010 - 22:15 — gvillegatrNot on tv.
This series need a more "national" shot in the arm.
