More Twitter issues for Austin, Little

This picture on Twitter with UNC football players Marvin Austin and Greg Little is time-stamped on May 15.

According to unnamed sources cited by ESPN, Austin, South Carolina's Weslye Saunders and Alabama's Marcell Dareus attended an agent's party in Miami, which is the focus of the NCAA's investigation at the three schools.

Alabama coach Nick Saban and South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier have confirmed that players on their respective teams have been talked to by the NCAA and offered comments about agents and their role in college football.

"Right now, agents are screwing it up," Saban told ESPN. "They are taking the eligibility of players. It's not right that those players do the wrong thing. We have a great education process here. We have a full-time worker who meets with players and their families and does everything else."

UNC coach Butch Davis has declined to comment.

The picture was posted by Miss Natalie Nunn on Tweetphoto. According to Nunn's web site, she is a reality show star ("Bad Girls Club"), model and "an entertainer, a lover, a friend to many, an athlete, and personality on television."

Little was interviewed by the NCAA earlier this month in Chapel Hill, his father said, and so was Austin, according to sources.

Greg Little Sr. said Tuesday that he paid the expenses for his son for a trip to Miami in March during spring break.

JPG: Is it possible to subscribe to the N&O w/out the sports sec

I can photoshop whatever date I want into that picture.

haha

oh man!!! i don't know what's funnier, the mess or UNC fans and their excuses.  You guys all know the saying about payback right?  That's why it would have been nice if everyone shut their piehole about "cow college" and "moo u" and "selling sneakers".  A kid sells sneakers for $75 maybe, that wouldn't even cover his trip to a "Aqua Girl" party.

so Izzy

you're claiming a kid only sold one pair of sneakers?  yea, kids get in trouble for selling ONLY one pair of sneakers.

stateFANATION

this is where you get your material these days, Giglio?

c'mon, dude.

statefansnation

They found the picture and it's right to give them credit.

gigalow!!

excellant reporting, u keep up the good work, maybe john wall will give u a job as his pub. director, or maybe even a step up- his butler, go duke-champs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Discretion the better part of valor

Find this interesting in light of today's hullabaloo surrounding the USDA employee and the dangers of taking (or purporting) things as fact before we know the details...good day for the media to re-learn some old standards.

I also find it sad that apparently we are going be like political conspiracy-theorists out there now, permanently dirt-digging and posting on web sites purporting to be "the truth."

Did they offer it to you...

Are were you looking there and found it? I actually don't care. Right now is the time for all ABC fans to come out of the woodwork and lay there words down. If Austin cheated by accepting gifts/cash/trips he should be punished. If he chose to do that in spite of the information provided by the compliance office to ALL student athletes it shows he had intent. If these points are true his days as a player at UNC should be over. There are rules and they have to be followed. Sure agents and their representatives have some questions to answer, also. I followed Austin on Twitter. I know he loved fast cars, guns, and good times.

totally agree

I said it when the news broke last week: If any Tar Heel broke the rules concerning agents, trips and money, then they ought to be punished.

stupid carawhina players!!!

this picture proves that tarhole players are blind and stupid, i have been to parties where these fools were and i have never seen any flat-chested girl-friends like these two , all girls have at least double -d,s  maybe these two buck- wheat boys  are really cow-college boys, because every body knows they are a little slow. go duke champs!

huh?

I don't see any agents.  I don't see any drinks.  I don't see any money.

I see two guys and two girls in a picture in front of a pool.  I guess we're all guilty of this pic!

The point, which perhaps you

The point, which perhaps you and/or others are missing, is that Little's dad said Greg took one trip to Miami and that he paid for the trip.  These pictures show a second trip to Miami during the time period of the party in question.  One can only hope Little didn't lie to the NCAA and that his dad just wasn't informed of the trip.  Lying about the trip would likely end up in a worst punishment than actually attending (unless of course you were coordinating with the party with agent and acting like as host to these other players; that would be worst still).

As for complaints of using a blog for information, it is a legitimate source.  In this case, the source is citing pictures actually provided by the person or persons under investigation.  It is solid information and should be investigated further.

What's next?

Video of these guys accepting cash or in-kind services?

And if there is an apologetic news conference (like Spitzer or Sanford), will Natalie be up there providing moral support?

Sure

Didn't you read her bio? She's "a friend to many" and "a lover."

Expert advice needed.

Someone needs to get out in front of this mess by hiring a consultant who knows how to effectively deal with this kind of situation.

Anyone have Marion Berry's contact information?
