Lowe expecting immediate contributions from Wolfpack freshmen

Bookmark and Share

Incoming N.C. State freshmen  C.J. Leslie, Ryan Harrow and Lorenzo Brown won't be expected to walk on water next basketball season, but Wolfpack coach Sidney Lowe made it clear again today that he has high hopes for the three highly touted players.

At his summer news conference this morning, Lowe said he does not want the three freshman to feel like they have to come in and be "saviors," but he does expect them to contribute right away.

"They are talented," Lowe said. "I expect them to come in and help us and play right away. I just want them to come in and play the way they are capable of playing."

At the same time, Lowe was quick to point out how tough the ACC is and how every freshman will experience his ups and downs. But Lowe said this group of newcomers are excited, and they know they can help the Wolfpack.

"They are not underestimating it," said Lowe, referring to the ACC. "I think what you are seeing is confidence and excitement about the challenge, and they have confidence in themselves."

sufergirl!!!

the pack will not make the tourney, because skid is the coach, ok go duke!!!!!!!!!!!

Won't Do It

I'm refusing to make any sort of prediction about NC State bball and football till their respective seasons are at least 3/4 of the way over. Past history serves as quite the indicator as to why this shouldn't be done.

OK GO STATE!!!

Wise decision

But I am betting you won't be able to keep that promise. Once the ball starts flying, the pull will be too strong.

Au Contrare

I'll gladly talk about the Pack, but I won't dare try to guess where their season will be headed--especially not bball.

OK GO STATE!!!

one might think State fans

one might think State fans can't complete a sentence without talking about firing someone.

GO WOLFPACK....

We should finally get back to the NCAA tourney this year...... else Sidney might be on the unemployment line.

NCAA

While, with the talent the Pack should make the tourney, their ultimate success will depend on how long these three incoming Freshmen stick around.
