Krzyzewski and pandas? There's an app for that

Need some advice from Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski on how to dodge taxicabs in New York or on avoiding dragons and panda bears along the Great Wall of China?

Apparently there's a new app for that.

Duke announced this morning the launch of a new Coach K iPhone application that "utilizes innovative multi-touch controls that immerse the player into an exciting series of races against multiple artificial intelligence opponents."

We assume that's where the dragons and taxi cabs come into play, although one of the game's levels also takes you to Durham, N.C., where you have to try to avoid the Cameron Crazies.

According to the release issued by Duke, Krzyzewski provides personalized coaching tips to maneuver gamers through "a series of dynamic obstacles which come to life through trend-setting graphics."

The first level of the game can be downloaded free from the iTunes App Store. After that, you're on the hook for $2.99.

Just think of the new revenue streams this could open up for prominent college basketball coaches. Sorry, Louisville fans. No word yet on any plans for a Rick Pitino eHarmony app.
