JP Top 25: Week 14

Note: J.P. Giglio is one of 65 voters in the AP Top 25. This is his ballot.

AP Top 25, BCS rankings

There are times I want to throw out the entire voting process and just go with the eye test. Florida is the No. 1 team in the country based on what you see and who’s hot right now.

But the Gators lost at home and Texas lost on the road. Not to mention, Alabama plays in the same conference as Florida and is unbeaten. Those two will play Saturday, and I will put the winner No. 1 over the best Big 12 team — which in my opinion is Texas because, well, the Longhorns actually beat Oklahoma when the two played.

From the ACC, Georgia Tech (14) and Boston College (15) keep moving up.

1. Alabama    1
2. Texas    2
3. Florida    4
4. Oklahoma    3
5. Utah    6
6. Texas Tech    5
7. Penn State    7
8. Southern California    8
9. Boise State    9
10. Ohio State    11
11. TCU    12
12. Ball State    14
13. Cincinnati    17
14. Georgia Tech    18
15. Boston College    19
16. Oklahoma State    10
17. Ole Miss    21
18. Georgia    13
19. Oregon    —
20. BYU    22
21. Michigan State    23
22. Northwestern    24
23. Pittsburgh    —
24. Iowa    25
25. Oregon State    15

Out: Missouri (16), Florida State (20)

btw, tj yates sure lived up

btw, tj yates sure lived up to those all-acc predictions didn't he?

ok, considering he broke his

ok, considering he broke his ankle in week 3...

no telling how he could have done during a full healthy season..

coulda, shoulda,

coulda, shoulda, woulda....yeah who knows, he might have thrown more interceptions than tds, just like last year.

expectations..

Quote "at least the heels aren't in anyone's top 25 anymore. anybody who thought unc was one of the 25 best teams in the country is either biased or just ignorant. remember that team that the local media picked to go 1-11 this year? yeah, 41-10 baby!"

"as long as Carolina doesn't meet expectations, and we beat them our season is a success." Why must state fans base their season on what UNC does?" pitiful ..

where did your second quote

where did your second quote come from? oh? you made it up? excellent work sir. so, state fans are delusional and paranoid, yet you are the one that convinces yourself of make-believe quotes. nice one

the 2nd quote is the 1st

the 2nd quote is the 1st quote shortened..

might as well said it..

hmm, somehow me talking

hmm, somehow me talking about my team exceeding expectations equates to me being more concerned with unc than my own team. great logic bud. you see, for the most part, it's not the players and coaches that we hate...it's the fans of unc that cause the hatrid

no too concerned with the

not too concerned with the big 12/bcs screw-up this year. anyways, bama is gonna roll over any one of those teams after their done with the gators.

Local media?

Who in the alleged local media picked State to go 1-11? I picked them to 6-6 and Tudor had 7-5.

Is there a mystery media outlet that covers N.C. State that I don't know about?

the N&O isn't the only one

the N&O isn't the only one around here that covers sports ya know. i visit/listen to 850 as wel. if you want a name, i definitely remember bomani jones saying the pack will finish 1-11.

yes JPG

there is another outlet in NC.  It lives inside the brain of every NCSU fan and all the media outlet does all day is rot that same brain with an inferiority complex.

keep chiming in...as you can

keep chiming in...as you can see i have specified exactly who i was talking about. but i guess you're gonna tell me that bomani jones is a made up name, and that it's all in my head. that's all you've got, and its getting old.

thank you

for putting Texas ahead of OU. anyone who does not simply has a bias against Texas or Mack. I do not like either, but can put dislike over self for what should have happened.

Some will say "who needs a playoff when the playoff is clearly the regular season." To those people, I give you OU and Texas in Dallas (neutral field) where texas won 45-35. And, tell me, who is playing for the Big XII championship game again??
