Irving, 2 others return for N.C. State

Bookmark and Share

Three players, including standout linebacker Nate Irving, will return from injury for N.C. State on Saturday against Duke, coach Tom O’Brien said after practice Thursday.

Along with Irving, , offensive tackle Julian Williams and wide receiver Geron James return after having extra time to heal over last week’s open date.

O’Brien was asked if he still plans to start Audie Cole at weak side linebacker despite Irving's return.

“Unless we change our minds before Saturday,” O’Brien said.

Irving has missed three games this season with an ankle injury. He still leads the team with three interceptions and is tied for the team lead with six tackles for loss.

A shoulder injury has sidelined Williams, another starter, for the last three games. James had an ankle injury.

O’Brien also said DeAndre Morgan won the starting position over Koyal George with a good week of practice at field cornerback.

Nice to see the folks from the BC boards are trolling along on ACC Now, though.

How about y'all worry about your team up in Mass. and leave us to worry about ours, ok?

Why aren't my posts posting???

No excuses needed

"Awesome... Now, what will TOBy's excuse be after Saturday?"
He won't need one. You don't make excuses when you win.

Awesome... Now, what will TOBy's excuse be after Saturday?

I wonder what TOBy the Hen's excuse will be on Saturday after his team loses to Duke while he paces the sideline and counts the blades of grass instead of actually coaching his team...  Injuries will no longer cut it, TOM!  GO BACK TO BOSTON!!!!

Dude, get real TOB has done

Dude, get real TOB has done a great job with this team. Get real and actually watch this team play. They give it their all every play and play disclipined football, something that was lacking with Amato. Learn something about football before you post.
