ATLANTA - There's something about Georgia Tech's Alexander Coliseum that doesn't suit Wake Forest.
It may be the Yellow Jackets.
Wake Forest lost its sixth straight game in the Yellow Jackets' home arena Thursday night, falling 79-58 to 22nd-ranked Georgia Tech.
After leading 35-29 at halftime, the Yellow Jackets took control of the game with a 14-2 run in the second half triggered by a sudden five-point burst by guard Iman Shumpert.
The Deacons (14-5, 4-3) struggled with their shooting throughout the game. Unable to get any consistent scoring from the perimeter, the Deacons found themselves overmatched against the Yellow Jackets' powerful front line.
Al-Farouq Aminu led Wake Forest with 15 points and Ish Smith had 12 points. D'Andre Bell had 16 points to lead the Yellow Jackets (15-5, 4-3).
