Hoops season is here
The college basketball season begins this afternoon (4 p.m.) at Cameron Indoor Stadium with Houston facing Georgia Southern in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
Duke will follow with its opener vs. Presbyterian. That game will be televised by the U. You can see the heavier Kyle Singler in HD. Let's hope, for Duke's sake, he's a stronger Kyle Singler, not the "puffy Shav" version that Shavlik Randolph became when he added weight at the behest of the Duke coaching staff.

UNC and N.C. State both open on Saturday. Carolina at home against Penn and State at New Orleans.
