Henson's forgotten wrist still hurts, too

Bookmark and Share

It seems like months ago now, but it was only March 9 in Atlanta during the ACC Tournament that the pressing question about UNC’s season wasn’t Kendall Marshall’s injured wrist. It was the left wrist of forward John Henson.

In Thursday’s interview session, the condition of Henson’s wrist came up once.

“It's getting better every day,” he said. “It feels a lot better than it did last week at this time.  I'm resting it, icing it, and just getting it better.”

Since getting hurt in March 9 game against Maryland, Henson has played only one game -- Sunday in Greensboro against Creighton. But the way UNC’s season has gone, the team knows that yesterday’s injury is yesterday’s news.

“We roll with the punches,” said Reggie Bullock, who missed much of last season with a knee injury. “We’re used to it.”
