LAHAINA, Hawaii — North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough, who made his season debut Friday at UC Santa Barbara, was in uniform Monday night but did not go through pre-game warm-ups. That indicates he will not play against Chaminade during UNC's opening game of the Maui Invitational.
Coach Roy Williams and Hansbrough had said that might be a possibility as the senior continues to come back from a stress reaction in his right shin. UNC will play three games in three days during the tournament.
Freshman forward Ed Davis made his first start of his college career in place of Hansbrough, and freshman Tyler Zeller, who is out for the season with a broken wrist.
