ACC Now

Going on road doesn't faze Duke

Bookmark and Share

DURHAM — Duke has taken care of several unsavory streaks by going 3-1 to start the 2008 season. The next one they want to knock off the shelf is a 16-game ACC road losing streak.

The Blue Devils haven't been a competitive team like this in many years but they didn't necessarily cower in the corner playing on the road the past two seasons. They played some of their most competitive games in losing in front of anti-Duke crowds at Wake Forest (14-13) and Alabama (30-14) in 2006, and Miami (24-14) in 2007.

Here Duke QB Thaddeus Lewis talks about  how that experience, and better home crowds in 2008, enables Duke to handle whatever Georgia Tech dishes out on Saturday and what the losing streak really means.
