Former N.C. State women's basketball associate head coach Stephanie Glance joined Tennessee coach Pat Summitt's staff as a special assistant.
Glance, an N.C. State assistant for 15 seasons, served as the Wolfpack interim head coach last season following the death of legendary coach Kay Yow.
"I am very excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Lady Vol program," Glance said in a statement released by Tennessee officials. "I have the utmost respect for coach Summitt and her staff. I'm thrilled to be working with a program that has accomplished so much."
N.C. State hired Kellie Harper as its new coach, a job Glance interviewed for.
Harper, a former Tennessee standout, played for Summitt.
Glance, who is a Clyde, N.C. native, has served on the board directors for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
Summitt said on Glance: "I am very excited that Stephanie is going to be part of our staff. She was superb as an assistant and as interim head coach at N.C. State. She did a great job working with the Wolfpack last season and keeping everything together. She is a very positive person, a very hard worker and understands what it takes to be at a program like Tennessee."
