Games against seven bowl teams from last season and a Thursday night visit from ACC champion Virginia Tech will highlight East Carolina’s 2009 football schedule.
The Pirates, champs in last season’s Conference USA race, will have six home games, including two to end the season against Alabama-Birmingham (Nov. 21) and Southern Miss (Nov. 28).
On the road, Skip Holtz’ team will travel to West Virginia (Sept. 12) and North Carolina (Sept. 19) after a home game against Appalachian State to open the season on Sept. 5.
Also on the slate are a Tuesday night trip to Memphis on Oct. 27, and a Sunday game at Tulsa on Nov. 15.
