Take note, ACC teams, ECU announced the game times for its six home football games and the world did not spin off its axis.
The Pirates' opener with Appalachian State will kickoff at noon on Sept. 5. Their C-USA title defense begins on Sept. 19 with a 3:30 game with Central Florida.
The Thursday night showdown with Virginia Tech, on Nov. 5, had previously been set for 7:30 p.m.
The ACC released the first three weeks of its schedule but leaves the rest to the mercy of television. ECU and C-USA apparently have decided it's OK to throw your fan base the smallest of bones and let them plan for the football season.
ECU home kickoff times:
Sept. 5 App. State, noon (MASN)
Sept. 26 UCF, 3:30 (WITN)
Oct. 17 Rice, 3:30 (MASN)
Nov. 5 Virginia Tech, 7:30 (ESPN)
Nov. 21 UAB, 3:30 (MASN/WITN)
Nov. 28 Southern Miss, 1

Hooray!
Mon, 06/15/2009 - 16:10 — JoshCThe 20 people in North Carolina with MASN, plus the slightly larger number of people within broadcast range of a local Greenville/Washington station, now know what time they can watch the ECU games!
ACC teams don't announce game times this early (other than Thursday nighters) because ABC and ESPN don't make that decision until 6-12 days out. MASN and WITN don't have anything else to show but ECU, but nor do they have any other viewers but ECU fans.
