Early ACC football game times set
The ACC released most of the starting times for the first three weeks of the football season.
N.C. State's opener against South Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 3 has been set for 7 p.m.on ESPN.
North Carolina's home game against East Carolina on Sept. 19 will kickoff at noon and will be televised by ESPN or ESPN2.

They must be padding their records by scheduling State, Carolina, ASU, and others who try to avoid them. At least O'Brien has put his foot down about in-state rivalries that only cost teams recruits. State does not need the gate any longer. Tell the politicians to butt out. Like they should have done when the pols came calling on Mary Easley's behalf.
Why does UNC & NCSU bother with ECU
Fri, 06/05/2009 - 07:30 — jr244It turns out that several years ago UNC and NCSU were going to quit playing ECU in football each year. NC lawmakers (from the easter part of the state) were going to put a law on the books requiring UNC and/or NCSU play ECU each year in football.
No wonder we have such problems in the state.

Fri, 06/05/2009 - 22:53 — LetsGoPittI think it is great for in-state rivalries and ECU should play one of the 4 in-state ACC teams each year. They don't HAVE to play State or unc every year, but they should be playing each of the schools along the way.
As for the politicians: get out of the way!!! Talk about a waste of time!! How about figuring out ways to not waste OUR tax dollars, find ways to allocate resources more frugally, and keep our roads, bridges, sewage plants, and airports clean and safe as you are supposed to do!

One could argue ECU has been the best team in the state since Skip has been at the helm.

I personally have 2 tickets to each game. There are up to 5 more if the rest of the family is not using them. we have two parking passes in RBC IF family will come up off of them.
