Duke football has dealt with mounting injuries over the past two weeks, but the Blue Devils (2-2) announced the probable starts of three key players for Saturday's game at Florida International (7 p.m.).

Senior All-America kicker Will Snyderwine has been hampered by a right ankle injury but participated in last week's win over Tulane. His kick count was monitored closely in practice this week, but is listed as probable for this weekend's game.

Snyderwine, who did not play at Boston College Sept. 17, has made 1 of 5 field goal attempts to start the season. He made his first attempt last week – a 40-yarder against Tulane.

Sophomore safety Ross Cockrell and senior cornerback Johnny Williams are listed as probable after missing game-action last week. Both will be needed as the Devils face a speedy FIU team, which features wide receiver T.Y. Hilton in its spread passing offense.

It's not clear whether running backs Desmond Scott or Josh Snead will return to the backfield with sophomore Juwan Thompson. Scott has missed the past three games, while Snead has yet to play this season.

Thompson leads the team in rushing with 48 carries for 252 yards.
