DURHAM — Duke got leaner in the secondary on Thursday. Duke coach David Cutcliffe announced today that junior cornerback Leon Wright will miss the rest of the season with a left hamstring injury.
Wright had started at one of the corner spots until he was injured in the fourth quarter during Duke's 10-7 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday. Senior Glenn Williams, a senior with 18 starts prior to the season, will take over Wright's spot.
In his 29 games career at Duke, Wright has started 18 contests while compiling 96 tackles, 12 pass breakups and five interceptions. He also has 38 career punt returns for 206 yards and six kickoff returns for 116 yards.
