North Carolina point guard Larry Drew II on Saturday denied an Internet rumor that he was considering leaving the program.
Citing "reliable sources," Buster Sports declared on Friday that if Drew had to make a decision today, he would transfer from North Carolina to a program in his home state of California.
After the Tar Heels’ 77-68 win over Wake Forest — Drew had 10 points despite going 4-for-12 from the free-throw line — Drew laughed off the rumors.
"Some of the stuff that the guy put in there was so ridiculously false, it's crazy," Drew said. "Like my parents were involved in an unhealthy way? Not true at all. Or they were saying my girlfriend was involved. I don't even have a girlfriend. Why do they put that up there?"

However, the 2009-2010 Heels is a team of role players. While it is easy to point out weaknesses at the PG posititon, any rational observer would be able to recognize that the issues go far deeper than that. Deon looks as though Anthony Hill taught him how to catch. Ed wants to go pro and doesn't care about his school any more. Henson has stepped up, but it'd be nice if he would steal one of Graves' cheeseburgers. Give it two years. We'll be dancin' next year, but two seasons from now, we'll have the personnel to make a serious run. McAdoo is the real deal, and I don't see Barnes as a one-and-done. Only time will tell, but something special is brewing up.
