Jason Veltkamp will be N.C. State's strength and conditioning coach for new football coach Dave Doeren.

Veltkamp coachd at Arkansas the past five seasons and previously worked at Utah. Veltkamp has worked with 47 NFL draft picks in his career at Arkansas, Louisville, Utah and Utah State.

“Not only has he built championship ball clubs, but he’s prepared his players to succeed at the NFL level, as proven by the number of players he’s worked with who have been drafted,” N.C. State coach Dave Doeren said in a statement released by the school.  “Jason is well known as a very intense motivator who works hard to get the most out of his players.  He takes a lot of pride in training the different skill sets and position groups to utilize their strengths and help improve their weaknesses.”

Veltkamp replaces Corey Edmond, who only held the job for one season under coach Tom O'Brien but was very popular with the Wolfpack players.
