Since you miss the Pick Six, and since it's an interesting weekend of football. With apologies to Jack Handey, Deep (football) Thoughts:
Wake @ Clemson, noon
In a normal conference, Wake wins, the Atlantic Division is theirs and Clemson fans scorch the Earth.
In the no-sense ACC, Clemson wins, everyone's a step closer to finishing 4-4 and the tiebreaker system exploding.
Pick: Clemson (cue "Joe hates Wake" haters)
N.C. State @ Boston College, 3:30
N.C. State should win this game which means it won't. BC has been respectable at home, where Montel Harris ran for 179 yards against FSU, and, well, N.C. State can't tackle.
Pick: BC (cue "Joe hates State/Joe loves State reverse-logic" haters)
Virginia Tech @ Georgia Tech, 6
There's never a good reason to pick against VT in the ACC and GT's defense is the same ballpark as State's and FSU's but something about this game screams GT.
Maybe it's because so many people like VT, including Vegas. I just don't think VT is good enough to go 8-0 in the ACC and if they don't lose this one, that's where they're headed so ...
Pick: GT (cue "Joe hates VT" haters)
SEC bonus
South Carolina @ Alabama, 7:45
Arkansas @ Florida, 3:30
Football logic says Florida and Alabama will meet in the SEC title game with matching 12-0 records. Sounds right, and college football usually doesn't get wacky until November — and it's usually a home underdog doing the wackiness — but there's something funny about these two games.
There's the LSU-hangover factor, Arkansas' quarterback, the start time (not at night) and Tim Tebow's health all working against the Gators.
There's Spurrier and South Carolina's defense working against an Alabama team that can't be as good as it has shown in the first six games, can it?
Pick: I'll take the points, but it wouldn't surprise me to see either No. 1 or No. 2 lose. (Cue: "Joe, stick-with-not-knowing-anything-about-the-ACC" haters).

How can it be "Pick Six" when you selected 5 games?
