CWS streaker the first since '74

OMAHA, Neb. — A tied game in the eighth inning with College World Series elmination on the line?

North Carolina's re-match with LSU didn't really need more drama in the eighth inning Friday night when a streaker across the outfield — dropping to one knee in a pose — before he was tackled by a member of the grounds crew.

"I don't really want to remember it, to be honest with you,'' UNC shortstop Ryan Graepel told the Omaha World-Herald. "It's one of those things where you don't want to look at it, but you can't take your eyes off it."

Twenty-one-year-old Jedidian Potter's bare run is beieved to be the first streaker incident at the CWS since 1974. According to the World-Herald, he was charged with lewd conduct.

It was really a humorous incident. But unfortunately that streaker has to pay the price. Nevertheless it was one of the best sporting event.

I took my kid to his first baseball game and we got to watch a streaker!!! It was funny. My uncle goes to tons of world series game and said he has never seen that. Then when i saw the last one was in 1974, i asked him if it was him. It was the funniest thing i have seen in ages!!!!

His real name is Jared, NOT Jedidiah. I have known him since he was a little kid. He said he won a $500 bet for doing it and only got a simple written citation. His brother called me last night to tell me about it and was laughing so hard I could hardly understand him. It will be a hell of a story to tell his grandkids one day.

To anyone who wasn't at this game...it was freakin hilarious to see that guy running around the field and getting tackled. I don't think I have laughed that hard in at least a week! GO NC!!!!
