College Cup sold out

Bookmark and Share

If you were thinking you could stop by WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary and pick up tickets for the College Cup, the final four of women's soccer, forget it. It's already sold out.

In the first semifinal game at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Stanford will face Notre Dame. North Carolina will play against UCLA at 7 p.m., with the championship game scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday.
Don't get your hopes up, but a limited number of tickets for the title game — about 200 — will go on sale at noon Sunday at the box office for $18 apiece.

WakeMed Soccer Park has enough permanent seats to hold 7,000 people, and there's standing room only for about 1,300 more general admission ticket-holders. Fans bought enough $35 tickets for all sessions to produce the sellout.
