North Carolina pitching coach Scott Forbes has been promoted to associate head coach, the school announced.
"He is a hard worker, a tireless recruiter, and has a built a great relationship with our players and staff,'' head coach Mike Fox said in a prepared statement. "We owe much of our success over the last three years to him, and this promotion is well deserved."
Forbes has spent a total of seven seasons, over two different stints, at UNC. He replaces Chad Holbook, who is now an assistant coach at South Carolina.

Coach Forbes
Fri, 07/25/2008 - 12:24 — SD King (not verified)Coach Fox has continued to make the same smart decisions off the field as he does on. The promotion of Coach Forbes was an excellent reward who has contributed so much to the sucess of Carolina Baseball. I know he will show us more loyalty than Holbrook did!
