The Hurricanes announced today that they have recalled center Jon Matsumoto from Charlotte.
Matsumoto, in his first NHL season, has scored two goals. The team placed forward Jiri Tlusty on injured reserver, retroactive to Dec. 16. He has missed nine games with an upper body injury.
The Canes play in Florida tonight against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.
