Bid adieu to Tar Heels

Off to the College World Series for the third straight season, North Carolina’s baseball team is scheduled to leave Chapel Hill on Thursday afternoon.

The team is slated to depart from Gate 10 of Kenan Stadium, which near the old field house, at 2:30 p.m.  Fans wishing to attend the send-off will have a chance to meet players and coaches at 2 p.m.

The second-seeded Tar Heels (51-12) will begin play on Sunday at 7 p.m. in Omaha against No. 7 seed Louisiana State. The game will be televised live by ESPN2.
