Boston College promoted Frank Spaziani to head coach on Tuesday. Spaziani, an Eagles assistant for the past 12 years, replaces Jeff Jagodzinski, who was fired last week.
The Eagles won the Atlantic Division in each of Jagodzinski's two seasons but was fired after a dispute with BC athletic director Gene DeFilippo.
Spaziani had been the defensive coordinator for Jagodzinski in 2008 and 2007, and for Tom O'Brien since 1999.
